Dr. Michael Court, Chiropractor

Dr. Court
My first experience with a chiropractor was when I was 17 years old. For five years I suffered from low back and leg pain as a result of a fall. I was unable to get any relief from my family MD, neurologists or orthopedists. There advice to me was to quit all sports activities. It was at this time someone suggested I try chiropractic. Within two weeks I was playing a full game of soccer with no pain. It was at this time I decided to become a chiropractor. I attended Aurora University near Chicago and completed my undergraduate Health Sciences work; I then went on to Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA and graduated in 1989.

I was first introduced to chiropractic as a young child getting adjusted mainly for the usual childhood bumps and falls. It wasn’t until the 7th grade that I truly began to understand what chiropractic could do. I was at track practice and, while high jumping, I missed the landing mat and went head first to the surrounding concrete. The incident left me terrified because I thought I had broken my neck seeing that my hands were numb and tingling. My parents took me to my chiropractor, to my surprise, not my family physician. There I was told what happened and how to fix it. After a few weeks of adjusting, I was back to normal. This is when I knew I wanted to be a chiropractor. I attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville majoring in the pre-chiropractic program. While attending the university I played three college sports: baseball, track and basketball. After undergrad I attended Palmer College of Chiropractic graduating in 1997.

My first exposure to chiropractic was when I was about four years old. My mother, who had been suffering from low back pain so severe that she was bedridden, was taken to a chiropractor. I can vividly remember her leaving in the back of our station wagon; when she returned she was able to walk without any assistance. Soon after I began making regular trips to the chiropractor and became interested in pursuing this as a career as I became older.
I attended Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI for my undergraduate work and then went to National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, IL. I returned to Eau Claire in 1989 and began working as a chiropractor. I offer nutritional counseling in my practice and in May 2007 completed the nutritional counseling course offered by the Wisconsin Board of Chiropractic Examiners.
Over the years I have had the opportunity to work with the veterinarians in Eau Claire to provide chiropractic care for their animal clients and have enjoyed observing the benefits of chiropractic for them.
